The Roveel connector must be installed on the same system as the active Sage 50 data folder, which might be a server or your workstation.
You may identify the location of your live Sage 50 data directory by entering into Sage, clicking Help > About, and searching for the Data Directory pathway icon.
If the data path is situated on your server, the "//" sign will appear in front of the data directory path. This indicates that your Sage data is not stored on the system you are now using, and you must install the connector on the machine specified in the route.
Installing the connector on the same system as the data directory path is required. The Sage data directory will need to be a local drive path rather than a network path (which unfortunately we can't support).
If your servers are managed by an external IT provider, please pass the installation instructions to them.
In order to install Roveel's Connector, please find the download link in our Connector installation instructions: https://app.roveel.com/signup/connector
Alternatively please click the link here to download our connector: https://cascade-prod-connectorfiles.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/installer/roveel_connector_setup.exe
We recommend that you install the Connector program on the same computer that your Sage Data is stored; either a server or your workstation.
If you have an external IT company that manages your servers please forward the install instructions onto them.
A single Connector installation can manage multiple Sage Data sources on the same computer.
If the machine you’re installing the Connector on is a workstation, you’ll need to be running Windows 8.1 or a later version. If it’s a server, you’ll need Windows Server 2008 R2 or later.
We also recommend at least 5GB of free hard drive space and an internet upload speed of at least 3 Mbps. (you can test this here: https://www.speedtest.net/)
